Today sees the release of Melbourne Victory’s first ever iPhone app called The Melbourne Victory Fan Challenge. The app includes three main features:

  • Melbourne Victory Shoot Out game
  • Melbourne Victory Trivia
  • QR scanner

The QR scanner allows you to scan particular encrypted bar codes located around the stadium on match days, on posters and at merchandise locations. All features allow fans to earn points which will rank them against their fellow fans to earn weekly prizes as well as a major prize at the end of the 2011/12 season. The major prize up for grabs is an all expenses paid trip to an away match for the 2012/13 season, travelling with the team and staying at the team’s hotel.
